Forget everything you know about online business. Generating revenue in an online business boils down to two simple things:
- Get attention (traffic generation)
- Make sales (conversion)
Traffic Generation: Where to Find Your Customers
- “Free” Traffic: Create helpful content (blog posts, videos, social media updates) on platforms your ideal customers already use. Be patient - this is a long game.
- Paid Traffic: Target ads on platforms like Facebook, Google, etc. This is faster but requires careful strategy and ad testing.
- Partner Traffic: Affiliates and JVs can be a very powerful source of very targeted, pre-qualified, pre-disposed, and pre-warmed traffic.
Quick note: “partner traffic” and “paid traffic” are not the same. Paid traffic is always cashflow-negative, at least in the very short-term. Partner traffic can be very lucrative and is almost always cashflow-positive.

Focus first on:
- Building Relationships: Be genuinely helpful. Provide value, offer solutions. Become the expert your audience trusts.
